This is Dick's recording of the 2nd big aftershock today - originally registered at 6.9 and later downgraded to 6.7. Sudden motion sensors surrounding the hard drives in Macintosh computers are used to record the seismic motion of earthquakes.

Be sure to check out the older posts for earthquake photos.

Thanks to all for their concerns for our safety and well-being!

Earthquake Area - Part 2 - Pictures

The old bridge over the Rio Claro - little rebar
showing...fortunately we were on a newer bridge,
but one couldn't help but wonder how safe even it
really was with so many damaged, closed or
restricted to one vehicle at a time as a precaution

Crumbled winery tanks south of Rancagua.
Even 100 yards away, the smell of wine was overpowering!

Neatly stacked barrels tumbled by the quake -
they contained brown ooze - perhaps sugar
syrup for making candy or dogfood?

Waiting in line to cross the bridge, one vehicle at a time.
